When I started coaching the short game and putting the one thing I didn’t realize I was changing was the players perception of the skill. The hashtag #love2putt was born after many students came to me sharing how much they loved putting and loved the challenge on every hole. The mechanical improvement, the systematic approach to learning and the way we practice the skills clearly changed how they felt. Players no longer feared those short putts or the dreaded 3 putt but relished the opportunity to make those putts, not just in practice but under the gun of competition. While most putting instruction is only about the mechanics, the key to long lasting success is changing how you see yourself as a putter and that’s exactly what we do.
